When one half of the family flies in from Germany to a lodge in a forest in Pennsylvania, you know there is something special there.
Coming to Gateway Lodge for weddings feels like home. It is only 20 minutes from us, so that could contribute to the fact, but it is just so welcoming.
The smells invite you in, and the crackling sounds of the fireplace in the Great Room, and the warmth that it creates surround you.
You are surrounded by comfort.
Abby and Dennis had an intimate ceremony amongst the pines at the Gateway Lodge, to the sounds of classical guitar, while raindrops fell slowly from the cloudy sky.
The beautiful bride made her way down the grassy aisle to her groom, barefoot and feeling the earth.
It felt so beautiful. It felt so warm.
They did not let anything get them down.
They all gathered for dinner in the lodge’s candle lit dining room and danced the evening through in the open Great Room, in front of the fireside.
Family and friends toasted, and cheered, and celebrated all of the love there that night on this very merry cook forest wedding day.
