Sarah and Alex’s J. Verno Studios wedding in the South Side of Pittsburgh was like a night out in the big city.
Their inspiration for the day, carried out by their wedding planner Francesca, was to incorporate all of the places that the bride and groom have traveled together.
The venue was a perfect blank slate for the idea. Also a plus, right down the street was the place where Sarah’s grandparents had their first date, and that is where they chose to do their first look. Meaningful trumps pretty any day.
The ceremony was a traditional one, at Saint Paul Cathedral in Oakland. It is a gorgeous church and it speaks for itself. We took portraits at the Carnegie Mellon columns, which are a big hit for weddings in Pittsburgh.
When we got back to the Reception on this chilly November night, it was like we were having a big party. It felt like an exclusive nightclub. The decor inside is so modern and fresh. The pin lights no every table really focused in the vast white space.
They did an excellent job. Here are a few of our favorites from this J. Verno Studios wedding!
